Jakub Fišer

is first violinist of the Bennewitz Quartet, one of the best string ensembles in Europe. With the quartet he frequently visits important stages as Wigmore Hall London, Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Berlin, Théâtre des Champs‐Élysées Paris, The Frick Collection New York or Seoul Art Center and appears at festivals Salzburger Festspiele, Luzerne Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Kammermusikfest Lockenhaus, Dvořáko Prague and the Prague Spring International Music Festival. Jakub started playing the violin in the age of six years under a leadership of Eva Bublová, following teachers were Hana Metelková, Jaroslav Foltýn and Leoš Čepický. He actively participated marsterclasses with Schlomo Mintz, Stephen Shipps and Semyon Yaroshevich. He is a winner and laureate of competitions Kocian Competition, Talents for Europe in Dolny Kubin and Beethoven Hradec. In year 2011 he was awarded Josef Hlávka Prize for talented young musicians. Jakub Fišer leads a violin and viola class at the GMHS Prague.
